The Organization:
- African Bridge Builders (ABB) was established in June 2015.
- It is recognized as a charitable organization, registered in the district court Hamburg with Registration Number VR 22296 and Tax Number 17/422/14717.
Our Mission:
- Our mission is to promote development cooperation in terms of promoting economic and social development in Africa (e.g. Cameroon). It should, for example, be realized through raising and/or supporting educational and development projects, medical care and supplies, as well as helping people in need.
Our Motivation:
- Education is the key prerequisite for a better life: children who go to school, have better career prospects later on.
- We want to break the cycle of poverty. Extreme poverty, malnutrition, inadequate water supplies and diseases threaten the survival and development of millions of children.
- Many children do not go to school because their parents cannot afford their education. Many families are too poor to pay for the school supplies for their children. Many parents do not know how they will feed their children - let alone how to finance the schooling of their children.
- Many children have lost their parents due to AIDS. The orphans in Africa have virtually no prospects without assistance.
- Many young people have no education, and therefore can subsequently find no reasonable employment.
- The elderly are unable to afford medical care because they are very old and poor.
- Many children, young adults and the elderly have no access to clean drinking water and sanitation.
